Lighting Spotlight: Dana Gibson
My current obsession with Dana Gibson began when I saw her light fixtures, silk pillows and ginger jars at Trimmings in Vero Beach, Florida. Linda Downey, owner of Trimmings and my beautiful mom, had the good fortune to meet Dana while at the Accessories Market in Atlanta, Georgia. Linda found Dana to not only be a talented artist but a fantastic business person. She is always at trade shows listening to the needs of her retail partners and oftentimes is the person who answers the phone when you call the company. She is impressively at the helm of her company. Linda is thrilled to carry her lovely products in her shop.
I love her use of bright color set against white neutrals. Most pieces look like an abstract painting. I love how her products transcend the blend between traditional and modern, which is the interior aesthetic that I most appreciate. From her website, “Known for her fearless use of color, Dana delights and inspires the artist in each of us.” Shown above are her Modern Art Lamps in my living room aka showroom when I have a trunk show.
Dana Gibson carries a full line of home decor, lighting, furnishings, pillows and desk accessories.
