Vacation Packing Guide

The one downfall of any vacation whether it’s a quick weekend trip or a jaunt overseas is definitely packing/unpacking. While we can’t offer any tips on how to make the actual process any less daunting we thought we would share some ideas on our go-to items to bring on your next getaway.

First up: dresses. I for one typically opt for jeans but the same cannot be said when it comes to traveling. While I still usually always include one pair of jeans, when packing for summer trips dresses are the easiest way to go. While they are obviously easier to pack they also allow for a much easier process when getting ready on vacation. Check out some of our favorite maxi and mini dresses below.

Next up: swimsuits. The general rule of thumb when packing is less is more, but when it comes to swimsuits that rule doesn’t necessarily have to apply. Depending on the length of your trip you may want to have options so we’ve rounded up our favorites below.

Depending on your destination you might want to include a sun hat to throw on and there is no shortage of cute ones this season. A few of our styles to elevate your look are linked below.

Another must have: sneakers. While comfort is key you shouldn’t have to sacrifice style in the name of comfortable footwear. A few of our favorite sneakers that can be worn with dresses, shorts and everything in between are linked.

Last but definitely not least is skincare. While it’s usually unrealistic to pack all of your cosmetics in your carry on, I highly recommend including a hydrating mask of some sort, especially for long haul flights. Flying is incredibly hard on your skin because of how drying it is as well as UV exposure, your skin will thank you later for following this tip. The options are limitless and depend on your preference but a top rated favorite that always makes the cut in my carry on is the Summer Friday’s Jetlag Mask. The Jetlag mask is great because it is incredibly hydrating but isn’t thick or tacky. If I’m wanting to switch it up I include a sheet mask, my favorite being the SK-II Facial Treatment Mask.
