Combating Winter Blues… 5 Tips to Spring Thinking

Are you over winter? This Florida girl is over winter already! I desperately need the groundhog to keep his promise of spring coming sooner than later. Here are 5 Steps for combating winter blues…

FLORALS: If you aren’t ready to wear them in your clothing then you should be able to smell and enjoy them in your living space. I love fresh flowers in my home. I try and have them often, blooming orchids do the trick too (even designer faux orchids and succulents will do). Something about seeing them brightens my day. Grab a few fresh stems and put them by your front door or your entry! Instant mood lifter.

SPRING SHOPPING: Even if you cannot wear your spring clothes quite yet, it’s nice to have them handy when the days are warm and you receive that invitation for graduation or spring party. EXERCISE: Moving your body is the most important step in beating the winter blues. Whether its a spin class, yoga, tennis or out for a walk, I always feel a thousand times better after I move my body. Adding Vitamin D can help too!
